It’s time to call some people out…

SARS, fvck you for harassing, intimidating and even killing innocent youths because of the way they are dressed, talk or even for no reason at all.

Nigerian Police force, fvck you for giving live ammunition to police officers patrolling the streets in predominantly civilian environments. Even worse is that many of them are drunk/high, without adequate training or even psychological evaluation and when they end up “mistakenly” harming or killing someone with a “stray” bullet, you blame the victims and open up investigations that never seem to lead to an arrest.

Nigerian Politicians, fvck you for giving us much less leadership than we deserve. For regularly embezzling our collective wealth to line your personal bank accounts, for causing mass poverty, suffering, depression and death among the populace just so you and your kids can acquire luxuries you neither need nor merit

Fraudsters (Yahoo Boys / Girls), fvck you for swindling people of their hard earned money and coming back to live lavida loca to “oppress” the rest of us and shame / frustrate / deceive even more youths to follow you down similarly disgusting paths.

Those that cause other harm using negative rituals, fvck you for thinking your challenges, problems, desires or needs are more important than those of others; for willfully attempting to advance yourselves by bringing down others.

Partners, friends and family of Yahoo Boys / Girls, fvck you for “enjoying” the proceeds of such appalling practices without calling them out. For not asking them how they make all the money they’re throwing around, for encouraging them by hailing them and accepting their gifts.

Nigerian Musicians, fvck you for enabling these fraudsters, thieves, politicians, and all other such people as destroy our name, our society, our economy and even our lives just because they’ve lined your pockets with change that even ends up not even being enough to foot your bill at Escape.

Employers, Contract assessors, etc fvck you for requesting bribes of all sort: money, sex, etc thereby circumventing the right processes and practices, frustrating competence while empowering mediocrity.

Thugs, fvck you for deciding that rather than put in honest work to make a living, you’ll instead levy unfair and outlandish taxes on the poor bus drivers, keke & okada riders, water & fruit sellers, and even kolekole (trash gatherers) who are working hard, even at jobs many consider as undignified, to earn their daily bread.

The rest of you, fvck you for attempting to blame the society, your genes, your parents, where you grew up, the economy, and whatever else for your reactions to the predicaments you face. True, many things affect your predicaments, but nothing affects your response to those predicaments except your DECISIONS, your CHOICES!

Don’t lie that you couldn’t help it. You could, you just chose not to. It’s not too late yet though, you still can help it. It’s in your hands if you’ll only choose to fix up yourself and do better.

PS: Good people exist among those groups above, no doubt(except the fraudsters & ritual killers — their actions can never be justified). However, this piece is directed at the not so good ones, the ones that need to fix up. If the shoe fits, please fix up!

Rule of Thumb: If you’re triggered by this, then the shoe probably fits. Fix up!
